Made In His Image

Founders Note: Today on the blog we have Megan, she sent us her post via email and we loved it so much that we quickly responded  back and told her we were definitely going to use it!  So today, she is sharing her thoughts on beauty and being made in God's image. Be sure to find her on twitter at the link below.

1 Peter 3:4 ESV -" But let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious."

Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Romans 9:20 ESV - But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?”

Your sin is not beautiful but you are. Letting the Holy Spirit lead you will reveal true beauty. You are beautiful because in Christ you are accepted. In Christ you are made new. Christ died for you because He values you.  Galatians 5:25 says "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit."  Walk in the Spirit and shows others your beauty. You are beautiful because you are His. You are beautiful because God made you. Please stop questioning your beauty. Please stop questioning your worth. He loves you. You were made is HIS image. Do not talk bad about His beloved creation. You are His beloved creation. To deny you are beautiful is to deny that He is beautiful because you were made in His image. Your sin is not beautiful but through Christ you are made new.
