In February here at The Quiet Place, we talked about faithfulness. When I hear the word “faithfulness”, I always begin thinking about God. He is faithful to the glory of His name, to His will, to His people, and to remaining true to who He is.
Last week, I finished reading the Old Testament and one thing stood out to me. I might have been looking for it, but I really don’t think that I was. In those pages, I saw God declaring the truth about Himself. Over and over again as we follow His people through the days leading up to the coming of their long awaited Messiah, we see His faithfulness on display.
My words here are nothing compared to what you will see if you commit yourself to reading His Word! Grab a chronological plan and read for an hour every day. (I read about a “week’s” worth of readings each day.) In a few months, you’ll have read through the Old Testament and you’ll see what I mean.
As you devote yourself to reading God's Word, I'm confident that you will find a deep hope stirred up in your soul. When your hope is set on Him it is sure. If you take up the task, I’d love to hear about it! If you need tips or
help staying motivated, I’ll be happy to help you with that too. Just
shoot me an email.
