The other Sunday, during a sermon on foundations at church, the Holy Spirit brought a phrase to my mind that has stayed with me ever since. And it was this:

There’s just something about sitting at a table.  

So, a lady and I were finishing off a conversation this morning when our pastor came along to say hello. She was holding a craft a child had left behind from Kids’ Church. Pondering, she turned it over and over and couldn’t decide if it was a bird, some kind of plane, or something completely different.

Strip it all back. Remove the distractions. Unsubscribe. Turn down, or even turn off, the volume of the chatter around you and within you.
